Obituary of James A. DiStasio
James A. DiStasio, 75, of Mt. Arlington, passed away, peacefully, on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at Troy Hills Center in Parsippany, NJ.
Born in Hoboken, on March 12, 1943 to the late James C. and Marion DiStasio, James was a graduate of Roxbury High School and has resided in Mt. Arlington for over 50 years. He served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965. James was the owner/operator of Jimmy D. Construction of Mt. Arlington. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council and the BPO Elks Lodge of Mt. Arlington. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and playing numerous sports. He was a skilled woodworker and also enjoyed fixing cars.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne (Tornello), son James DiStasio, two brothers, Richard DiStasio and his wife Maureen and David DiStasio and a sister in law, Constance Tornello.
James' Life Celebration will include visiting on Saturday August 18 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ with Military Honors beginning at 7:30 PM.
