Obituary of Natalizia "Nina" Woods

Natalizia (Nina) Woods formerly of West Orange passed away Friday August 17 surrounded by her loving family.

She was 99.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 1 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange on Wednesday August 22 at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover. Nina’s Life Celebration will be held Wednesday August 22 from 8:00AM to 10:00AM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.

Nina was born in West Orange to Vincenzo and Maria Leone. She was raised in Pomarico, Italy, and returned to the US in 1946 as a war bride. She and her loving husband Robert of 60 years raised their family in West Orange.

She is survived by her son Robert Woods, Jr. and his wife Cynthia, daughter Mary Manganiello, grandchildren Suzette Morgan, Michael Manganiello, Louis Manganiello III, Eric Mullins, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, Sr., parents Vincenzo and Maria, son-in-law Louis Manganiello, Jr., brothers Augustine and Michael and many extended family members and lifelong friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Nina’s memory may be made to Our lady of Lourdes RC Church or to a charity of a person’s choice.
