Obituary of Howard K. Gibson

Howard K. Gibson of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Howard was born in Newark, NJ to the late Howard M. and Viola Gibson.

Mr. Gibson was a fire and explosive analysis working at Thiokol Chemical Corporation before becoming a partner in a new company, Hazards Research Corporation. He later formed his own corporation DustTech Inc. where he worked until his retirement.

Howard was raised in Budd Lake, NJ and lived in Landing, NJ for many years before moving to Mt. Arlington 10 years ago. Howard was a 1951 graduate of Netcong High School where he played tackle on their championship football team. A team that to this day still holds national records for their accomplishments. Mr. Gibson was a devoted Giant football fan and a parishioner of St. Michael's RC Church, but most importantly, Howard loved spending time with his cherished family.

Howard is survived by his beloved wife, Isabel (Valentino) his two sons, Howard & his wife, Bettina and his son, Dean, his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Kristin & her husband, Christopher and his great-grandchildren, Jace and Jaxon. Additional survivors include his sister-in-law, Grace and his brothers-in-law; Joseph and Salvatore.

Howard's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Sunday, September 30th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a funeral mass on Monday, October 1st at 10:00 am at St. Michael's RC Church, 4 Church Street, Netcong, NJ. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
