Obituary of Scott M. Ackerman

Scott M. Ackerman of Hopatcong, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was 48 years old. Scott was born on January 27, 1970 in Dover, NJ to Gayle (Benke) and the late Warren Ackerman, Jr. Scott was the store manager of Hobby Lobby in Totowa, NJ. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Rangers fan. He enjoyed golfing, computers and Lake Hopatcong but most importantly, Scott cherished his time with his family. Scott resided in Hopatcong for the past 4 years and previous to that, he lived in Avanel, NJ, Philadelphia (where he met Sunita) and Queens, NY (where they lived after getting married until moving to Hopatcong. Scott is survived by his devoted, wife of 10 years, Sunita (Ramdeen) and his beloved children, Warren and Katarina. Additional survivors include his mother, Gayle Vogt, his step-father, Barry Vogt, his sister, Michele Ackerman. He was pre-deceased by his father, Warren, Jr. in 1988. Scott's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Thursday, October 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. There will be a Prayer Service offered at 7:30 pm also at the funeral home. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
