Obituary of Richard F. Lutz

Richard F. Lutz, 69, of Bronx, NY, passed away on Monday October 15, 2018 at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ.

Born in Yonkers, NY, on December 2, 1948 to the late Frederick F. and Madeline (Ehring) Lutz, Richard resided in the Bronx for 64 years. He worked for the City of New York Department of Roads and Bridges. Richard enjoyed fishing and bowling and played baseball in his younger years.

Survivors include his sister, Sue Sofio, nephews Bill Sofio (Gina) and Craig Sofio (Michelle) and niece Donna Esposito (Jim), grandnieces and grandnephews, Ryan Sofio, Danielle Sofio, Siena Sofio, Madeline Sofio, Matthew Esposito and Lauren Esposito and cousins, Ted Lutz, Carol Sims and Ed Ehring.

Richard will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Ave. Bronx, NY on Thursday October 18, 2018 at 10:30AM. Arrangements are entrusted to Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. For memorial donations, please consider the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
