Obituary of Jon DaSilva

Jon DaSilva of Hopatcong passed away peacefully on Thursday October 18, 2018 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 65. Born in Newark, he lived in White Meadow Lake before moving to Hopatcong 35 years ago. Beloved husband and soulmate for 42 years of Elsie (nee: Langley) DaSilva. Devoted father of Jessica DaSilva, Dr. Jamie DaSilva-Hoffman and David Danzis. Loving grandfather of Gianna, Jonathan, Dominic and Kaylee. Dear brother of Marylee Reinmiler and the late Patricia Roth. A custom wheelchair technician with Matheny School and Hospital in Peapack, Jon was a member of the Faith Family Fellowship church in Dover. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting and soccer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jon's Life Celebration on Sunday October 21 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will begin at 5:30PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
