Obituary of James Mayfield

James Elliot Mayfield, Jr. of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Monday, March 16th at home. He was 59. Jimmy was born October 27, 1955 in Manhattan, NY to the late James E. Mayfield, Sr. and Domenica E. (Festa) Mayfield. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, swimming and riding motorcycles. He was a graduate of Hopatcong High School, class of 1973 and served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1979. Jimmy is survived by his son, James M. Mayfield, his mother, Domenica E. Mayfield, his sisters, Diane Pierson, Karen Laurino and Jennie Mayfield. He was pre-deceased by his son, Brandon C. Mayfield in 2005. Jimmy's Life Celebration will include visitation on Thursday, March 19th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ . There will be a funeral mass on Friday, March 20th at 10:30 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive in Hopatcong, NJ.
