Obituary of Frank Dellosso
Frank Dellosso passed away peacefully on January 25th at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. He was 82.
Born in Newark, NJ to Catherine and Frank Dellosso, He moved to Budd Lake in 1948. Frank was a gifted athlete who excelled in football, basketball and baseball. Legend has it that no one could hit a baseball farther than Frank. He was recognized by the Cleveland Indians, who drafted him in 1956. After playing minor league baseball for two years, he returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Sheila Weaver, and start a family.
Frank was employed by JCP&L for 33 years and was a councilman in Netcong and a member of the Netcong Board of Education. His passion, other than sports, were large family dinners, the jersey shore, his beloved NY Giants and spending time with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Sheila Weaver, his second wife, Joanne Faschan and his brother, Gennaro Dellosso.
Frank is survived by his sister, Catherine Gerard, his two sons, Gary and spouse Karen and Stephen and spouse, Karen, cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Jr. and spouse, Allison, Kyle, Paige and Chase and great granddaughter Cecilia Rose.
Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday January 30th from 4-7 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. Funeral services will be private.
