Obituary of Catherine Murphy

Catherine (nee: Sullivan) Murphy of Mt. Arlington passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. She was 83.

Born in New York, NY, she lived in Hopatcong prior to moving to Mt. Arlington in 1985. Catherine was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington, a member of BPOE #782 in Lk. Hopatcong and a member of the Mt. Arlington Seniors.

She is predeceased by her husband William E. Murphy, Sr. (2001) and a son Robert C. Murphy (1990).

She is survived by 2 sons: Kevin Murphy and his longtime companion Rindy and William Joseph Murphy; 2 step-sons: Terrence and William E. Murphy Jr.; 1 grandchild: Lisa Marie Murphy; 1 Great Granddaughter: Oliva. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Catherine's Life Celebration on Sunday, February 10 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, February 11 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington. Catherine will be laid to rest following mass in the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
