Obituary of Richard E. Vasquez

Richard E. Vasquez of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old. Richard was born on August 3, 1944 in New York City to the late Albert and the late Anna (Kalnan) Vasquez. Mr. Vasquez was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger for many years before retiring. Richard was a longtime resident of Hopatcong NJ and enjoyed gardening. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Frances (McMahon), sister & brother-in-law, Linda and Skip Simpson, mother-in-law, Joan McMahon, sister-in-law & her husband, Joann and Jerry Melillo, sister-in-law & her husband, Susan and Donald Jung, brother-in-law, John McMahon, nieces; Heather Borer and Kristen Jung, nephew, Steven Jung, daughter-in-law, Kimberly Vasquez, and grandchildren; Olivia, Isabel and Joshua Vasquez. Richard's Life Celebration Services will include a Private Memorial Service to be announced by the family at a later date. All services were entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
