Obituary of Rodrigue Tassy

Rodrigue Tassy of Stanhope, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at St. Clare's Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old. Rodrigue was born on January 21, 1948 in Port-Au-Price, Haiti to the late Roger and the late Marie August (Lauture) Tassy. Mr. Tassy was a bank manager with Calyon Bank in New York City for many years before retiring. Rodrigue was a longtime resident of Stanhope and previous to that he lived in Brooklyn, NY. He enjoyed listening to jazz music, sipping French wine, cooking, running, golfing, going to the gym and watching sports. Rodrigue spoke four different languages and traveled the world but most importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished family. Rodrigue is survived by his devoted children; Fahimie, Murielle and Dimitry, his beloved partner, Marie Maignan, his sister-in-law, Gina Maignan, his siblings; Roger, Fauiad, Eddy, Jean-Claude, Reynald, Clifford, Pierre-Richard, Nadim, Nyanick and Rosemarie and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Rodrigue's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Saturday, May 18th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a prayer service offered at 5:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150, Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
