Obituary of Peter A. Rodick

Peter A. Rodick of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at CareOne at Morris surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Peter was born on January 11, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Stella (Pietrowski) and the late Peter J. Rodick. Peter was a truck driver for the Pepsi Bottling Company for many years before retiring and then was employed by CC Rentals for more than 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong, enjoyed fishing and watching sports but most importantly, Peter cherished his time spent with his devoted family. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jean (Lynn), his daughters; Stephanie Cole & her husband, Joseph and Barbara Ruffin & her partner, Michael Curcio, his son, Peter Rodick & his wife, Kelly, his cherished grandchildren; PJ, Nicole, Jaclyn, Anita, Michael, Joseph, Susan, James and Breanne, his great-grandchildren; Karen, Kelly, Kimberly, Vanessa and Grace. Additional survivors include his brothers in law and sister in law, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Dolores Allegretta. Peter's Life Celebration will include visitation on Monday, June 10th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass offered on Tuesday morning, June 11th at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Peter will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ #201-997-1900 immediately following the funeral mass. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
