Obituary of Raymond A. Sweet

Raymond M. Sweet of Netcong passed away May 31, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. He was 77. Born in Long Valley, he lived in Middle Valley prior to moving to Netcong 60 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Raymond was a masonry supervisor for Kenvil Newcrete for 30 years and then as a carpentry supervisor with Old Hickory Estates in Randolph. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wharton, a member of the American Legion Ambulance Squad in Stanhope, a special officer with the Netcong Police Department, a member of the Netcong Fire Company #1 and a Boy Scout leader. Beloved husband of Grace E. (nee: Shubert). Devoted father of Mark Sweet and his wife Elise, Leon W. Sweet and his wife Vaneice M. and Michele R. Verdi and her husband Jeffrey A. Cherished grandfather of A.J., Ryan, Raymond J. and Gracie. Loving great grandfather of Madison and McKenzie.
