Obituary of Louis Hillyard

Louis Hillyard, 65, of Plainfield, formerly of Hopatcong, passed away on Sunday October 13, 2019.

Born on September 17, 1954 in New York City to the late Raymond and Rita Hillyard, Louis resided in Hopatcong from 1964-2008 when he moved to Newton, NJ and then to Plainfield in 2011. He served proudly in the United States Army Reserves from 1970-1976. Louis loved playing albums, especially enjoying the music of Patsy Cline and Tom Jones.

Survivors include three sisters, Barbara Ferrone, Florence Hillyard and Marcia DiMarco and many nieces and nephews.

Louis' Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday October 21, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered on Monday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.  Friends and family are also invited to the funeral home on Tuesday October 22, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
