Obituary of Cody Richard Scholz

Cody Richard Scholz, 22, of Teaneck, formerly of Hopatcong, passed away on Friday October 25, 2019 at his home in Teaneck.

Born on December 2,1996, in Newton, NJ to Francis Scholz, Jr. and Christine (Taddigs) Scholz. Cody resided in Hopatcong for most of his life prior to moving to Teaneck one month ago. He was a graduate of Hopatcong High School Class of 2016. Cody enjoyed being in the great outdoors and was especially fond of riding BMX bikes, dirt bikes and ATV's, as well as, snowboarding, hiking, fishing and drawing. Cody had a passion for cars.

Survivors include his mother, Christine (Taddigs) Scholz, father, Francis Scholz, Jr., three brothers, Zachary, Adam and Samuel Scholz, maternal grandparents, Otto and Ingrid Taddigs, girlfriend, Amber DeGroot and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cody's Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Friday November 1, 2019 from 5-8PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Saturday November 2, 2019 at 11:00am at Grace Church on the Mount, 1500 US-46, Netcong, NJ 07857. All are invited to meet directly at church for services. Cremation will be private.
