Obituary of Lotte E. Blackwell

Lotte E. (nee: Picone) Blackwell of Succasunna passed away Saturday November 9, 2019 at VNA Hospice at Clare's Hospital, Dover. She was 75. Born in Germany, she came to the United States when she was 4 years old. She lived in Hopatcong prior to moving to Succasunna 10 years ago. A bookkeeper with Elastimold in Hackettstown, Lotte enjoyed gardening, cooking, trips to Atlantic City and scrabble but most of all enjoyed time spent with her family. She is predeceased by her husband Rex Blackwell Sr. and her son-in-law Ruben Lorenzo. Beloved mother of Rex Blackwell Jr., Elizabeth Absalon, Diana Rieg and her husband Thomas and Deanna Lorenzo and Patricia Blackwell. Dear sister of Alfonso Picone and his wife Jane. Loving aunt of Laura and her family. Cherished grandmother of 20 grandchildren and loving great grandmother of 22 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lotte's Life Celebration on Friday November 15 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will be offered on Saturday November 16 at 9:30AM in the funeral home. Lotte will be laid to rest following the Prayer Service in the Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Township. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of a person's choice.
