Obituary of Robert W. Anderson

Robert W. "Bob" Anderson of Hopatcong passed away Monday November 11, 2019 at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover, NJ. He was 82. Born in Newark, NJ, he was raised in Kearny and lived in Wellington before moving to Hopatcong in 1969. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a draftsman with PSE&G (Gas Department) in Newark, NJ. He was a proud American Army veteran and Retiree of the U. S. Army Reserves. He was a Civil War buff and avid reader of historical books. Beloved husband of Elaine (nee: LiMuli) Anderson. Devoted father of Robert J. Anderson and his wife Christine, Lori P. Granitzski and her husband David, Karen A. DiGiovanni, and Jeffrey T. Anderson. Dear brother of Lindsay Robinson. Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and great grandfather of 1 great grandson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bob's Life Celebration on Sunday November 17 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing NJ. A Prayer Service will begin at 3:30PM. Bob will be laid to rest on Monday November 18 at 1:30PM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. All are invited to meet directly at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriors.org.
