Obituary of John James Mika, Jr.

John James “Jack” Mika, Jr., 62, of Hopatcong, passed away on Monday November 25, 2019 at Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ.

Born in Jessup, PA, Jack was raised in Newark, NJ and resided in Rockaway and Stanhope prior to moving to Hopatcong in 2003.  John worked as an Engineer for Becton Dickinson of Franklin Lakes, NJ prior to his retirement. Jack enjoyed his worldwide travels, casinos, and his cherished April and Penny.

Survivors include his husband, Joseph A. Kramer, Sister, Leona Mika-Garden (wife Doris) and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jacks Life Celebration will include visiting on Friday November 29 from 5-8 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.  A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday November 30 beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ 07843. Jack will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
