Obituary of George R. Gregory

George R. Gregory of Landing passed away Friday December 13, 2019 at home. He was 86.

Born in Union City, he lived in Clifton before moving to Landing in 1962.

Prior to his retirement, George worked for the East Hanover Board of Education as a well-loved custodian and bus driver who took much joy in attending to the special needs students.

He enjoyed football, playing the lottery, casino's, teaching his children baseball, watching his grandchildren play sports, visiting his sister Irene in Florida and visiting his condos in Orlando and New Smyrna Beach.

George was a Korean Era Air Force veteran.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee: Fisher) Gregory. Devoted father of Scott and his wife Marci, Glenn and his wife Kathie, Randy and his wife Jenine and Kevin and his partner Paul. Cherished poppy of Michael, Max, Kourtnie, Brandon, Baylee, Dylan, Austin, Jordon and the late Megan. Loving great poppy of Mason, Brielle and Ali. Dear Brother of Irene Reinhardt. Dear uncle of Brenda, Linda, Laureen and the late Donna.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend George's Life Celebration on Thursday December 19 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will begin at 7:30PM. Cremation was private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of a person's choice.
