Obituary of William "Bill" Haight

William "Bill" Haight of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Newton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 66 years old. Bill was born on February 7, 1953 in Newark, NJ to the late William and Henrietta (Thunber) Haight. Bill was a shipping and receiving manager and worked for both Fed-Ex and UPS. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Calvary during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Black Horse Calvary and was known to be very mechanically inclined. Bill enjoyed fishing, building model cars, watching Sci-Fi movies and fixer-upper shows but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Bill is survived by his girlfriend, Maria Tarullo, his nephews, Thomas and Michael McCaffery and many dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, Hugh, Margaret and Marion. Bill's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, January 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a 7:30 pm Prayer Service at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
