Obituary of Irene Hogan

Irene Hogan of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old. Irene was born on April 21, 1931 in the Bronx, NY to the late Joseph and the late Florence (Barbier) Hodas. Mrs. Hogan was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Irene enjoyed knitting and traveling but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Irene resided in Hopatcong for almost 50 years and previous to that, she lived in College Point Queens, NY. In her later years, Irene loved being a caregiver and companion to her cherished grandchildren. Irene is survived by her daughter, Carol Moreno & her husband, Steve, her sons, Thomas and Robert (loving caregiver) & his wife, Sharone. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren; Cuyler, Talon, Scott and Jeffrey and her great-granddaughter, Ryan, her brother, Edward Hodas, her sister, Rita Presseau and many dear friends. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Thomas W. Hogan in 2015, her daughter-in-law, Adeline, her sister, Florence Liske and her brother, Robert Hodas. Irene's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Gathering announced by the family in the future.
