Obituary of Anthony John Radler

Anthony "Andy" John Radler passed away Sunday March 29, 2020 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. He was surrounded by the brave doctors and nurses who tried to save his life, but was separated from his loved ones due to COVID19. He was 55yrs and 20 days old. Andy was a Warrior who had battled cancer 3 times over 23yrs, and was still fighting it and beating the odds. Andy was born 3/9/1965, the youngest of Harry and Peggy Radler's seven children. Growing up in Lake Hiawatha, he was a 1984 graduate of Parsippany High School. Andy held many types of jobs over the years: drafter, graphic artist, machinist, electrician's apprentice and others. His favorite job was "Mr. Mom", a stay at home dad for 3 of his reasons for living- his children. Andy met his wife Sharon (Selleck) in 1994 through his friend/her sister Laura. Andy and Sharon married in 1996 and became inseparable. He was often seen bringing his wife coffee at work. Andy enjoyed spending time with family, hanging with his brother's on Sunday's at his Mom's house or at Virginia Beach Oceanfront vacation with his wife and kids. A favorite pastime was eating at Golden Corral while down there. Andy enjoyed working on his still unfinished 1971 Cutlass convertible. Andy was known for making friends throughout his neighborhood and was always ready to help anyone in need. His friendships were important to him, and many of his friends were from childhood and school. Andy loved coffee, and missed smoking. He loved watching Supernatural marathons, Expedition Unknown, Ghost Hunters and River Monsters. Andy had an awesome sense of humor and loved to embarrass his kids, but only in fun. He passed on his love of music to his children, making them little head bangers while they were still in car seats. Anthony Radler leaves behind many who will miss his smiling face and eyes. He lived long enough, and met his goal to dance with his daughter at her wedding. Andy is survived by his loving wife and care-companion Sharon (Selleck) Radler, his children Matthew and Lucas Radler, and Abby Lamonica and her husband Nick, and his 2nd "daughter" his niece Kylie Simone. His brothers: Mike Radler and his wife Linda, Henry "Skip" Radler and his wife Debbie, Tom Radler and his wife Diane, John Radler and his wife Valleri. His sister Sharon Shank and her husband Cliff. Sister in laws Teresa Radler and Patti Williams Radler. Sister in laws and dear friends Laura Selleck, and Lisa Selleck and her partner Rick. His dearest friend and "brother from another mother" Miles Warsh and his son Leo. A BUSLOAD of cousins, nieces, nephews and greats, along with a big bunch of dearly loved friends. Andy is pre-deceased by his Parents "Harry and Peggy" Radler, his brother Billy Radler, his nephew Patrick Radler and his in-laws Doris and Ed Selleck. Out of an abundance of love and due to the recommendation of "social distancing" the family has prudently chosen to hold Andy's services privately. The family is planning to schedule a public Celebration of Andy's Life in the future. A fund to help the family with expenses has been set up at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-our-cancer-warrior?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link-tip&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet.html
