Obituary of Mary T. O'Gorman

Mary Theresa O'Gorman (Garrahy), formerly of North Bergen, NJ passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Merry Heart Assisted Living in Succasunna surrounded by her beloved husband. She was 83 years old. Mary was born on August 8, 1936 in Washington Heights, NY to the late John and the late Bridget Garrahy. Mary was employed by APA Transport in North Bergen, NJ for 36 years before retiring. She enjoyed baking. ceramics, was an avid reader and loved to watch and attend New York Yankees and New York Giants games, but most importantly, Mary loved spending time with her cherished family as well as many dear friends. Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Thomas, her devoted son John & his wife, Linda and twin sister Helen McAuliffe, in Redondo Beach, California, including numerous nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. She is now joining her parents, as well as, her sister Patricia Zuppe and brothers William and John Garrahy as Mary crosses Heaven Gates. Out of an abundance of love and due to the restrictions of "social distancing" the family has prudently chosen to hold Mary's Services privately. Mary will be entombed at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Hawthorne, NY. All services are entrusted to and under the care of the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
