Obituary of Julia J. Cullen

Julia J. Cullen of Denville passed away Thursday July 2, 2020 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. She was 83. Born in Newark NJ to the late John and the late Julia (Luscka) Szipsky, she grew up in Irvington and moved to Hopatcong in 1965. This is where she raised her family with her husband Eugene J. Cullen and 3 sons, Eugene, Thomas and Patrick. In 1998 Julia and Eugene retired to Florida. In 2018 they returned to New Jersey. Julia was a cafeteria attendant for Lenape Valley High School. A member of the ELKS in Mt. Arlington, she enjoyed raising her three sons, gardening, refurbishing furniture and social gathering with family and friends. Beloved wife of Eugene J. Cullen. Devoted mother of Eugene Cullen (Shannon), Thomas Cullen (Adrienne) and Patrick Cullen (Lisa). Loving grandmother of McKenna, Audrey, Kelly and Emma Cullen and Paige and Joseph Weeks. Dear sister of Margie Zimmermann and the late John Szipsky. Also survived by grand dog Ruby and predeceased by grand dog Bosco. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Julia's Life Celebration on Tuesday July 7 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the funeral home.
