Obituary of Robert F. Brauer

Robert F. Brauer of Landing passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 73. Born in Newark, he grew up in Union. He lived in Parsippany prior to moving to Landing in 1962. A Vietnam Era Army veteran who was a disc jockey in the Armed Forces Radio, Robert was also a disc jockey with WMTR in Cedar Knolls and then was an operator with AT & T in Wayne. He enjoyed trains, all types of movies and baseball (particularly the Yankees). Beloved husband of Virginia (nee: Rude). Devoted father of Nancy A. Brauer and Janet M. Mylan and her husband James. Loving grandfather of MacKenzie E. Mylan. Dear brother of Margaret Havanki and Linda Brauer. Cherished son of the late Frederick and the late Margaret (nee: Gregory) Brauer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday April 9 at 9:00AM from the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. Thence to Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, Mt. Arlington, where at 10:30AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment: Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Robert's Life Celebration will be held in the funeral home on Monday April 8 from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
