Obituary of Elizabeth L. Flinn

Elizabeth L. Flinn, 87, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Friday October 30, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Queens, NY on July 7, 1933 to the late James and Alice (Morgan) Collins, Elizabeth resided in Flushing, NY, Jersey City, NJ and Hasbrouck Heights, NJ prior to moving to Hopatcong 44 years ago. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church in Mt. Arlington and the Our Lady Star of the Sea Rosary Society in Lake Hopatcong. She enjoyed music and singing. Elizabeth was also a member of the Hopatcong Women's Club and the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club Women's Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband John D., children, Thomas D. (Debora), James V. (Anne), Betty Flinn (Kathy Hughes) and Peggy Licamelli (Louis), nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Elizabeth's Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday November 5, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday November 6, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 8 Windemere Ave, Mt. Arlington, NJ. Friends and relatives are invited to meet directly at church for Mass. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3620 Tilden Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
