Obituary of Richard Pond

Richard H. Pond, of Hopatcong, passed away on Thursday March 27 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville Campus. He was 64. Born in Fort Worth, TX, Richard has been a resident of Hopatcong for 27 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Richard was a member of the Independent Lost Soul Motorcycle Club, loved hunting and camping, was an artist and a poet and a well-known jokester. Most importantly, he was a devoted family man and great friend. Loving husband of Helen (Schwartz), beloved father of Richard, Jr., Daniel, Michael, Shawn, Kyle and the late Cathie Jean, dear grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of three.
