Obituary of Maureen G. Vander Velde

Maureen Vander Velde, 60, of Byram Township passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at Newton Medical Center surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. Born on January 3, 1960 in Montclair, NJ to Fred and Loretta Wright, Maureen grew up in West Orange prior to moving to Byram in 1995. She enjoyed passionately rooting on her beloved NY Mets and NY Giants, visiting the wineries and friends in New York State's Finger Lakes Region, but most importantly, Maureen loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for 30 years for Dr. Manlangit of Mountain Lakes, NJ. Maureen was predeceased by her mother, Loretta Wright in 2017. Survivors include her husband, Ken, daughters, Ashley Anderson and husband Joshua and Caitlin Vander Velde, father Fred Wright and brother, Barry Wright and wife, Helen. Maureen's Life Celebration will include visiting on Saturday November 21 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered on Saturday evening at 5:30 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
