This photo is great because he was irked by losing his shades and I helped him backtrack to find them--no thanks to Emilio! Joe, my dearest confidant of almost 20 years. I treasure our many laughs (and pranks) working together at the courthouse, what a strong and positive influence he was on my son as he grew up, how overjoyed Joe and I were when my son made sergeant and countless truly wonderful memories. I will ache for his intelligence, unwavering support, and beautiful loving soul. A huge piece of my heart is beyond repair. His always perfect gifts fill my home as reminders that wherever he went, he thought of me. I knew I was blessed by his friendship and trust and told him weekly for all those years until our last laugh-fest on the 28th.
