Obituary of John L. Simonetti

John Lino Simonetti, 86 of Netcong, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021. He was born in Follansbee West Virginia in 1934. He was born to the late John and Lucinda Simonetti. John was an enlisted member of the United States Army and served as a medic during the Korean War. John was a skilled bricklayer working with his father before moving to New Jersey in 1961. In 1952 he started his career as mason and after 44 years retired in 1996. He was a proud member of the International Unions of Brick Layers & Allied Craftworkers local 11-WV and 4-NJ. He finished his career as a Supervisor working for Speranza Brickwork of Whitehouse Station, NJ He loved sports and working on projects with his sons. John is survived by his devoted children John M. Simonetti of Hope, NJ, James and Kelly Simonetti of Frelinghuysen, NJ. His beloved grandchildren Gina and Mark (Simonetti) Hummel, Harrisburg Pa, and John M. Simonetti Jr. of Netcong NJ and his loving sister Joyce and Dan Majestic of Pittsburg Pa. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Lois (Garner) Simonetti and his sister Lucile (Simonetti) Hughes of Toronto Ohio. Arrangements are private and entrusted to Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing, NJ. A public Celebration of John's life will be planned in the future.
