Obituary of Matthew M Hughes

Matthew M. Hughes, 48, of Albrightsville, PA passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 at his home. Born in Denville, NJ to the late George and Elizabeth (Schafer) Hughes, Matthew was a graduate of Roxbury High School Class of 1990. He completed extensive training in motorcycle maintenance technology and was employed by Warner's Propane in Gilbert, PA as a Transportation Specialist. Matthew loved motorcycle riding and was a member of the Ridge Riders Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed competitive racing, kayaking, hiking and family vacations to the beach. Matthew was a gifted mechanic and spent many hours "tinkering" around his home and yard. Survivors include his partner, Stephanie Bajnoczy, children Madelyn Hughes and George Hughes, brother Patrick Hughes and wife Robin and sisters Kathleen Conlon and husband Daniel and Maureen Powell and husband Anthony. Also surviving are his canine companions Schnoodles and Stanley, several nieces, a nephew, a maternal aunt and several cousins. Matthew's Life Celebration will include a "walk-through" visitation on Thursday February 25, 2021 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. Due to the current health crisis, a limited amount of people are allowed in the building at one time, therefore we kindly ask guests to pay your respects and be mindful of the time to give others an opportunity to do the same. Please dress warm in the event that you may have to wait outside. Face masks are always required to be worn inside the building. Cremation will be private.
