Obituary of Eleanor Marotta

Eleanor Marotta of Sparta, NJ passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton. She was 76. Born in Jersey City on June 30, 1944 to the late Rocco and the late Marie (Roefaro) Moretti, she lived in Hopatcong prior to moving to Sparta. Prior to her retirement, Eleanor was a controller with Statewide Stripping in Parsippany. For Eleanor, family was her life. She loved her home in Sparta and enjoyed decorating, entertaining, traveling and cooking. Beloved wife of Oreste “Butch” Marotta. Devoted mother of Charles and Nancy Marotta, Donna Marotta and David and Traci Marotta. Cherished grandmother of James, Logan and Dana. Loving great grandmother of Aubrey. Dear sister of Vincent, John, Anthony, Fran, Ann, Lorraine, Linda, Ginny, Cathy and the late Joseph. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and also many friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Eleanor’s Life Celebration on Tuesday March 2, 2021 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM in the funeral home.
