Margaret Accordino

Obituary of Margaret M. Accordino

Margaret Mary Accordino is survived by her husband, Richard Accordino, children, Jessica, Meagan and Richard, Jr., and countless family members and friends. Margaret was born in Pompton Plains, NJ to Edward and Charlotte Carver and was the youngest of five children (Bobby, Sherri, Eddie Jr. and CarolLynn). Margaret loved to travel and hitchhiked cross country twice as a teenager prior to meeting her husband, Rich, while working. Margaret had a successful career in telecommunications and never shied away from encouraging her daughters to break through the glass ceiling. She enjoyed life in every way possible but always slowed down to enjoy precious moments, especially watching the sunset with her son. Margaret made a point to make memories and foster relationships - prioritizing family vacations, getting together with friends and always calling to sing Happy Birthday to everyone she knew – but above all was her infinite love for her husband, Rich, showing the epitome of love, affection and devotion. Her curiosity and tenacity, matched with kindness and empathy, made her a force to be reckoned with. Margaret lived life on her own terms, never met stranger, had a smile that lit up the room and the greatest laugh that came from her very soul. Her time on this Earth was far from long enough but left an unforgettable impact. She was undeniably the best person you would ever meet. Her loss has left a hole in countless hearts with so many people missing her so much it hurts. Everyone will forever cherish every memory, smiling photo, video of her vivacious laugh and unnecessarily long voicemail. She was loved so much and we all know we’ll see her again. So, like she always said, never say goodbye – we’ll watch the sunsets thinking of you and we’ll see you later, Margaret.
