Obituary of Richard D. Norris

Richard (Ken) D. Norris , 94, of the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Township passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover Campus. Born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY on October 1, 1926 to the late William and Mary Ellen (Hayden) Norris, Ken resided in Lake Hopatcong for more than 65 years. He retired from Automatic Switch in Florham Park as a Quality Control Inspector. Ken was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Lake Hopatcong and a member of the Golden Age Seniors and the Knights of Columbus. Ken spent many years as a volunteer at Dover General Hospital. He enjoyed gardening, reading, photography and traveling. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and being a Grandpa. He always met everyone with a smile on his face and was blessed with the gift of gab. Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorraine and his daughter-in-law Patricia Begane-Norris. Survivors include his four children Donna Kulisz and husband Steven, Diana Marie, Richard Norris and wife Dellora and Patrick Norris. His grandchildren Steven Kulisz and wife Olivia, Kristen Rowland and husband Matthew, Danielle Jennings and husband Christopher, Katelyn Wood and husband Richard and Kelly Furino and husband Joseph. He was also blessed with 7 great grand-children, Isabelle, Lydia, Claire, Elodie, Grace, Henry and Jocelyn. Ken’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Monday, April 5 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, April 6 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. All are invited to meet directly at church for Mass.
