Obituary of Giovanni Iachetta

Giovanni Iachetta, 80, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township passed away peacefully at Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ. Giovanni was born in Cervinara, Avellino, Italy on October 8, 1940 to the late Pasquale and Antonietta (Clemente) Iachetta. He has resided in Landing since 2014. He was a self-employed carpenter. Giovanni enjoyed playing Sudoku and doing crossword puzzles, as well as watching soccer. He made his own wine and loved to cook. Giovanni was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Emilia (Cutugnino), four children Giampiero Iachetta and his wife Caroline, Annamaria Iachetta, Antonietta Iachetta and her significant other Tim and Luigi Iachetta and wife Jennifer, five grandchildren Anna, Domenico, Emilia, Gianluca and Penelope and seven siblings Michael, Aniello, Antonio, Gennaro, Anna and Angelina. Giovanni was predeceased by two brothers Nicola and Silvano. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Giovanni's Life Celebration will include visiting on Thursday April 15 from 4-8PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Friday April 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew the Apostle RC Church, 335 Dover Chester Road, Randolph, NJ 07869. All are invited to meet directly at church for Mass. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Road, Morristown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
