Obituary of Diane J. Wenneis

Diane J. Wenneis of Hopatcong passed away Tuesday April 20, 2021 in Hackettstown. She was 65. Diane was born in Elizabeth on May 2, 1955 to the late William Gray and Catherine (Miller) Murphy. She has been a resident of Hopatcong since the 1980's. She was a head assistant with Horizon High School in Livingston. A parishioner of St. Jude Church in Hopatcong, she enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, reading, dining, movies and ballroom dancing. Devoted mother of Lisa Holley, Jim Holley and Matthew Wenneis. Loving grandmother of Emily, Zachary, Collin and Samantha Holley and Kamryn Davis. Cherished daughter of Catherine (Miller) Murphy. Dear sister of Doug Murphy and the late Daniel Gray and the late Deb Murphy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Diane's Life Celebration on Saturday May 1, 2021 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will begin at 2:30PM. Memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue of a person's choice.
