Obituary of Douglas P. DeTroy

Douglas P. DeTroy of Mt. Arlington passed away Tuesday April 20, 2021 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover. He was 79. Born in Hoboken, Douglas lived in Hopatcong prior to moving to Mt. Arlington in 1987. Prior to his retirement, he was vice-president of finance with Melnor Industries in Moonachie. After retirement, he was general manager of New York Renaissance Fair. He enjoyed dogs, fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with family. Beloved husband of the late Lillian (Nappi)DeTroy. Devoted father of Christopher and Douglas DeTroy Jr. Loving grandfather of Amanda and Douglas DeTroy III. Arrangements are private. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of a person’s choice.
