Obituary of Patricia Ann Rafferty

Patricia Ann (Fasanella) Rafferty, 87, of Byram Township passed away peacefully on Friday April 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 7, 1933 in New York City, NY to the late Daniel and Sadie (Boylan) Fasanella, Patricia has resided in Byram Township for more than 50 years. She worked as a Guidance Secretary at Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta, NJ before retirement. Patricia enjoyed reading and baking and was a parishioner of St. Michael’s RC Church in Netcong. Patricia was active with the Byram Township Seniors, the Red Hat Society and was Past President of the Cranberry Lake Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren. Patricia was predeceased by her husband Henry in 2019 and her six sisters Helen, Mildred, Agnes, Anna, Cecelia and Mary. Survivors include four sons, William and wife Marylou, Francis and wife Patricia, Daniel and wife Jill and Raymond and wife Jill, twelve grandchildren Michael and wife Kayla, Matthew and wife Nicole, Caitlin and fiancé Stephen, William, Kelsey, Nicholas, Daniel, Kristen, Kelly, Nicole, Megan and Erin and a great grandson Colin. Patricia’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday May 5, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday May 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd RC Church, 48 Tranquility Road, Andover, NJ 07821. Patricia will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Green Township, immediately following Mass.
