Obituary of Rosalie Cardone

Rosalie Cardone, 71, of Stanhope NJ passed away on Saturday April 24, 2021 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville Campus. Born November 16, 1949 to the late Frank and Irene (Monteforte) Lombardi and raised in the Bronx; "Ro" met the love of her life, Nicholas Cardone II, got married and moved to Rosedale, NY to raise their three children. After several years, moved to the Long Valley section of Washington Township before settling in Stanhope in 2008. Ro and Nick shared a deep love that spanned 51 years. Sharing many interests that included going to casinos and racetracks. Ro was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She opened her home to her children's friends whom often considered her a second mom and affectionately called her "Mom". Ro loved The Beatles, Doowop and anything butterflies. But what she loved most of all was her family. She adored her time spent with her grandsons and being fully involved in their lives. Ro was predeceased by her husband Nicholas in September 2020. Survivors include her three children, Gerri-ann Cardone (fiancé Tony Valentin, Denise Shemenski (Chad), Nicholas Cardone III (fiancée Danielle Burbridge), grandsons Sean and Shane, brother Paul Lombardi, brother-in-law Paul Cardone, mother-in-law Vera Cardone, many cousins and family members. Arrangements will be private and under the direction of Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Rd, Landing NJ.
