Obituary of Maureen A. Esposito

Maureen A. Esposito of Landing passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old. Maureen was born on August 17, 1942 in Englewood to the late Edmund and the late Margaret (Best) Devine. Maureen enjoyed homemaking and especially taking care of her beloved husband, Patrick. She doted on her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and was an avid reader. In her early years Maureen worked at Smith Corona typewriters in New York City. She also ran a small ceramics business out of her home in the seventies. Maureen was very active in her church, Our Lady of the Lake in Mount Arlington. She belonged to the Third Order Carmelites and spent many Saturdays in Eucharistic adoration. Maureen is survived by her husband, Patrick Esposito, her daughter Jennifer Gamba and her son-in-law Jon Gamba. Their children Jon Patrick, Christopher and Elizabeth Gamba. Her daughter, Elizabeth Salazar and son-in-law Mark Salazar. Their daughters Mia Salazar and the late Lila Salazar. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Maureen’s Life Celebration on Monday July 12 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM in the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday July 13 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, Mt. Arlington. All are invited to meet directly at church. Maureen will be laid to rest following the mass in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. As Maureen enjoyed gardening, flowers will be accepted or memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of a person’s choice.
