Obituary of Donald Rimli

Donald Rimli of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. Donald was born in Newark, NJ on October 1, 1935. Donald was employed at Pfizer in Morris Plains for many years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Donald was an active member and an usher at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church. Mr. Rimli took great pride in caring for his lawn and property but importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished family. His trade mark saying was “It’s Good Enough” and he was known for re-purposing things. Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen (nee Collins), his devoted daughter, Patricia Blicharz (Eddie Jr.) and his cherished grandson, Edward Blicharz, III. He was pre-deceased by his granddaughter, Marybeth Blicharz. Donald’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday July 23, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. A funeral Mass will be offered Friday at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 204 Espanong Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum in East Hanover. All funeral arrangements are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home.
