Obituary of Michael W. Saporitola

Michael W. Saporitola of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at St. Clare's Hospital – Dover Campus surrounded by his devoted and loving family. He was 63 years old. Michael was born on September 18, 1957 in Denville, NJ to the late Orlando and the late Jeannette (Sheehan) Saporitola. Michael was a glass blower by trade and was employed by Troyonic in Kenvil, NJ for many years before retiring. He was a longtime resident of Hopatcong. Michael enjoyed motorcycles, cars and pinball type video games but importantly, he loved spending time with his cherished family. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Homschek, his step-children, Chrisanne Young, Alan Homschek and Jeff Homschek, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Michael's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Tuesday, August 17th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Catholic Prayer Service offered at 11:00 am at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850. Michael will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ. All funeral services are under the direction of and entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home.
