Obituary of Marilyn M. Buda

Marilyn M. Buda, 65, of Mt Arlington passed away on Monday August 30, 2021 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Born and raised in Jersey City on January 30, 1956 to the late Alphonse and Rose (Guarino) Mauro, Marilyn lived in Kearny prior to moving to Mt. Arlington 29 years ago. Earning her Master's Plus 30 in Education, Marilyn was a Language Arts Teacher for the Elizabeth Board of Education. She was dedicated to her students and very active in the Elizabeth School District. Marilyn loved traveling, especially cruising to Bermuda, reading, listening to her husband play the piano and enjoyed the flowers he planted around their home. Survivors include her beloved husband David, stepchildren Stephen and Michelle Buda, grandson Zackary, brother James Mauro and his wife Lynne and niece/god-daughter Jillian Rose Mauro. Marilyn's Life Celebration will include visiting on Saturday September 4th from 4:00 -8:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
