Obituary of Mary A. Gruszecki

Mary A. Gruszecki, 96, of Netcong passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Scranton, PA on September 16, 1924 to the late Michael and Agnes (Smar) Palahunick, Mary resided in the Port Morris section of Roxbury Township prior to moving to Netcong over 30 years ago. Mary worked as a Sewing Machine Operator at Dover Handbag in Netcong prior to her retirement. She was a parishioner at St. Michael's RC Church in Netcong and a member of the Roxbury Seniors. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph and four brothers Andrew, Michael, Joseph and Steven. Survivors include her three sons, Robert, John "Jack" and Thomas, two sisters Ann Cofka and Katherine Herko, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mary's Life Celebration will include a visiting on Tuesday September 7 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered Wednesday September 8 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Friends and relatives may gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:00 AM prior to services. Mary will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
