Obituary of Barbara Ruth Guerriero

Barbara Ruth Guerriero of Succasunna, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old. Barbara was born on January 26, 1936 in Flanders, NJ to the late Carl and the late Lillian (Best) Mooney. Barbara ("Mrs. G") was a teacher employed by the Hopatcong Board of Education as well as the Roxbury Board of Education for many years. She enjoyed, knitting gardening, birdwatching and reading. Barbara was a member of the Hopatcong Women's Club and she also enjoyed her weekly outing to IHOP with her cousin and her friends. Barbara is survived by her devoted daughter, Dawn Guerriero, her son, Stephen Guerriero and her cherished grandson, Anthony. Additional survivors include her cousins, Fred Gruenert and Kim Gedicke (Harry) and the "twinkle in her eye", Parker (Dawn's beagle). She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Stephen in 2015. Barbara's will be laid to rest privately with her beloved husband at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
