Obituary of Antoinette Gugliemini

Antoinette Gugliemini loving wife, mom, grandmother, sister and zizi passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 30, 2021. She was born in Taranta Peligna , Italy on July 11, 1934 to her parents Vincenzo and Santina Fratangelo. As a young girl she learned to sew as her trade. At 21 years old she traveled to the USA with her father and sister to make a new home and wait for her mother and three siblings to join them. This would take two years to save enough money to bring them here. How brave was our Mom to leave Italy for the USA! Antoinette met our Dad, Samuel and married in 1957. They raised four children together. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren more than anything. Her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her family. Mom enjoyed fashion, she was an elegant First Lady of Netcong and she loved her part time job at TJ Maxx. She was the most vivacious 87 year old you could meet. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St Michael’s Parish and attended adoration for 23 years. Mom was devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Anthony. She looked forward to the Feast of the Assumption every year. We will miss her everyday but realize we were so blessed to have had her in our lives. She is survived by her husband Samuel; her daughters Angela (Timothy) Grogan and Santina Marquart . Her sons Marco (Dori Jo) Gugliemini and Vincent (Elizabeth) Gugliemini. Grandchildren Paul and Anthony Grogan, Angelo Marquart, Olivia and August Gugliemini and Emma and Sophia Gugliemini. She is also survived by her loving siblings Philomena Palumbo, Antonio Fratangelo, Anna Madonna and Mario Fratangelo and their families. Antoinette’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday November 3, 2021 from 3-7PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday November 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael RC Church, 4 Church Street Netcong. Antoinette will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
