Obituary of Kathleen F. Barger

Kathleen F. Barger of Hardyston Twp., NJ and formerly of Hopatcong passed away peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Hackettstown Medical Center. She was 74 years old. Kathy was born on May 17, 1947 in New York City to the late Joseph and the late Agnes (Lokken) McGarry. Kathy was a longtime resident of Hopatcong where she worked on the administrative staff at St. Jude RC Church. Mrs. Barger was a devout catholic and very involved in the St. Jude RC Church. She enjoyed binge watching Netflix, eating ice cream and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Jo-Ann McNulty, her son, Thomas Joseph "TJ" and his wife, Chrissy and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Casey, Erika and Thomas. Additional survivors include her sisters, Patricia Morris, Joanne Ross and Maureen Olsen and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas J. in 2002. Kathy's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Mass on Friday, November 5th at 11:00 am St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Friday morning. To show their appreciation for your support the Barger family invites all in attendance to join them at the Parish Hall to continue celebrating Kathy's life. Kathy will be laid to rest privately with her beloved husband at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp. NJ.
