Obituary of Robert E. Rossi

Robert E. Rossi of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Clares Hospital Dover Campus surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old. Robert was born on December 20, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Edward Rossi and the late Helen (Mc Cue) Roberts. Robert was employed as a heavy equipment operator for D&F Well Drilling and he was a member of the Operating Engineers Union for many years before retiring. Mr. Rossi proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed boating, camping & gambling and he also enjoyed his time with his dear friends at the Schuyler Yacht Basin. Robert is survived by his devoted children, Sandra Caldwell and husband, Michael, Robin Rossi and Brenda Breheny and husband, Paul, his cherished grandchildren, David Lurker, Dennis Davino, Alexis Breheny, Derek Lurker, Brielle Breheny and Mckenzie Rossi. Additional survivors include his sister, Joan Woda and his step- sister, Dianne Orofino-Lester. Robert was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Ellen "Pat" Rossi in 2014 and his son, Kevin Rossi in 2009. Robert's Life Celebration Services will include a visitation on Thursday, November 11th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Military Honor Guard Service offered at 6:30 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.
