Obituary of Aurora Notaroberto

Aurora Notaroberto, (Nee: Ruocco) age 81, of Stanhope, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 31 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. Born in Futani, Italy to the late Grazia (nee: Rizzo) and Eugenio Ruocco, she came to the United States at the age of 24. She lived in Dover and Netcong before moving to Stanhope 51 years ago. Aurora was a homemaker who also worked at Dover Handbag and the Officers Club at Picatinny Arsenal prior to her retirement. She was an active member of the Stanhope/Netcong Senior Citizens Club and an avid cook who enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Aurora was devoted, warm, compassionate, personable and generous. Aurora was the devoted wife of Emilio for 59 years. Survivors include her children and their spouses; Anthony and Kathleen Notaroberto, Anna and Anthony Sebasto, Tina and Kevin Gopon and James and Cindy Notaroberto. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, her loving sister and brother-in-law, Carmela and Nicholas Fluri, three sisters, Antonieta, Maria and Eva brother-in-law, Donato and a brother, John, brother-in-law/sister-in-law Aniello and Victoria Notaroberto, brother-in-law/sister-in-law, Marie and David Meurer and brother-in-law Antonio Notaroberto. She is predeceased by her sister, Angelina, sister-in-law/brother-in-law, Anna and Aniello Ruocco.
