Obituary of John J. Karl

John J. Karl of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old. John was born on May 31, 1946 in New York City to the late Joseph and the late Buelah (White) Karl. John was a long-time resident of Hopatcong, NJ and proudly served his country in the United States Army. John was a chemical engineer employed by Ethicon in Somerville, NJ for many years before retiring. Mr. Karl received a master's degree from Brooklyn Polly Technical University and he was awarded three United States Patents for various inventions. John enjoyed watching classic movies gardening and cooking but most importantly he loved spending time with his cherished family. John is survived by his beloved wife, Vivian (nee Ruiz), his sons, Michael Karl and John Karl & his wife, Modesta and his cherished granddaughter, Katherine. John's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Service to be announced by the family in the future. John will be laid to rest privately at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ.
